Hello, I'm a full-time trader, using CQG as my charting software. A friend of mine told me about Sierra Charts and the great thing is, there are more to modify but it can be very convulated. I have a certain parameter set using stochastic indicator but it doesn't align with the settings that I have on CQG and I'm getting very frustrated and making me think twice of switching over. Could someone kindly assist? Making me think twice of making a purchase...

Not sure to what extent we can help with this. Is the name of the study in CQG called Stochastic Slow? Or something like that. Do they provide the formula? Yeah its the slow stochastic. I use it using the renko 1 tick and 2 tick bar and it works perfectly fine with the 1 tick but as soon as I use it on the 2 tick, it doesn't align not sure why it's doing this. I pay 2 grand a month for CQG so switching over to Sierra would be a huge help. Is there anything I can provide to help you further down into details?

It sounds like the difference is with the underlying data, not with the Stochastic study itself. Use the Stochastic-Slow study on 1 minute bars and then compare that to what you have in CQG. Certainly some difference can be expected but it would be minimal. If essentially it is the same, then the difference is with the underlying bars.
