I have been having an issue with odd-shaped candles on my charts (below screenshots). As these are flex renko bars, there should be no wicks in both directions. Can you please advise what may cause this problem?

We have the Chartbook. We need a specific Date-Time of the chart bar to look at where you see this issue, and also the time zone of that chart.

as a good example you can look at 2018/04/16 at 16:13 - a huge tail time zone of the chart is New York -5 EST/-4 EDT |

Unfortunately, with the data we are using from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed we are not seeing that: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=152408341557.png This is from your Chartbook. The timezone is US Eastern. We can see the problem in your chart image, but we cannot reproduce and it is hard for us to resolve without being able to to reproduce it. We see you are using Rithmic but there really should not be any problem with the Rithmic data. But in any case a data issue should not cause this. We definitively want to resolve this. Just not sure how we can reproduce though. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. this happens when the market is moving fast and it does not happen on another PC running the second instance of Sierra Chart. On the other hand, the computer on which it happens is far from being obsolete, - Windows 10, Intel 7, new SSD drive. |

This speed of the market is irrelevant. There must be some difference with the data. You could attach the chart data file in a 7Z compressed format. This is the NQM8-CME.scid file in the Sierra Chart Data subfolder. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. This user is a friend of mine and had his data set to seconds instead of ticks and in addition was getting time sync errors. After changing his settings to 1 Tick and syncing his PC I think he should be ok. I'm sure he'll chime in if not. -- Scott |

Even so, this problem still should not exist.

We actually do see how in this particular case the 1 second data is causing that particular appearance where there is a reversal. This is because Sierra Chart will maintain the true open, high, low, close values for the bars rather than manipulating them.
