You need to follow through the instructions here for this: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data You first need to make sure that you can access this data in the main instance of Sierra Chart. The instructions do explain that. And then re-download the data in the sub instance once the main instance has it. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. still having issue with this i followed the instructions in that article...but i still only have data going back to Aug 22nd 2017 (for ZN futures on a 5 second chart in the new instance of SC) Data/Trade Service Settings --> Non-Tick/1-Tick Data Max Hist Intra Days is set to 300 Days Chart Settings --> DaysToLoad is set to 300, Chart Settings --> Advanced --> "Continuous Futures Contract - Back Adjusted" is selected Edit -> Delete All data and download -- does not bring in any additional data what else should i do? |

ok, so i have the 300 days of 5 second data in my primary SC instance...however the new instance does not have it...and when i go NewInstance --> Edit -> Delete All data and download --> i'm prompted with a msgbox saying "Confirm Intraday data download for ZNZ17 starting at 2017-08-21 20:00:00" if i say yes, i still just get 60 days if data...if i say no, then nothing happens. This is different from the primary instance of SC, where the msgbox says "Do you want to re-download data for the currentt symbol only? Press No for all symbols" In the 2nd instance of SC, i'm not prompted with the option...what should i do? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-11-15 18:04:02

after doing that symbol reset in the new instance...i still see same behavior NewInstance --> Edit -> Delete All data and download --> i'm prompted with a msgbox saying "Confirm Intraday data download for ZNZ17 starting at 2017-08-21 20:00:00" which does not retrieve more historical data. what next? |

Would it be OK if we call to look into this? We would normally not expect any issue. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. That happened to me a few times, what solved it was opening the chartbook of the 2nd instance in the 1st (to download properly all the data, it seems). You close it, open it again in the 2nd and the data is there. That worked for me.
