I am subscribed to sierra historical data. Is it possible to display chart data for US stocks? I mainly want the DOW 30 stocks?

Yes. Just open charts for them through File >> Find Symbol. Refer to:

I tried that already and it doesn't find the symbol. For example, how would I show APPL chart? I am not subscribed to real-time service, only historical, but want the chart info so I can extract the data.

Stock symbols are not listed and have to be manually typed in.

The instructions here explain how to do this:

Ok, I typed in the symbol for AAPL and clicked open historical chart, is displayed a blank screen showing downloading data in a blue box. The blue box disappears after some time, but the chart remains blank. I checked the message box and it says subscribing to realtime market data is not supported. I've stated twice in this post that I am only subscribed to historical data, but you keep insinuating that it is possible to display a chart for a stock. Can you advise please??

It sounds like there is a connectivity problem.

If you are getting a blank chart, then go to that chart and select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

And then provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog

For reference here are the instructions:

This is very very unusual what we see in this Message Log.

Are you running any kind of firewall or security software on your system? Other than from Microsoft?

If so disable those.

And try again.

We have never seen anything like this before. You appear to be running some kind of program which is altering the data received from the remote side.

I am using standard windows firewall, avast antivirus and windows defender? The only other monitoring device is CC Cleaner. Is it possible I have some kind of trojan on my PC?

Actually, we just realized what the problem is.

Update Sierra Chart to the latest release with Help >> Download Current Version.

avast is indeed the problem. But we have worked around this issue.

Ok, most seem to work now, however I can't display stocks for the German Bourse, mainly the DAX 30 stock symbols, is this possible with Sierra historical data? Or would I have to subscribe to a realtime feed and data exchange?
