Orders with the same exact settings are displayed in simulated trading mode. But not in live trading mode.

I have made sure that global chart trading settings and chart trading mode and show orders under trade menu are identical in both modes. Still the orders do not show up in live trading mode.

Are these orders you entered from Sierra Chart? Do you see them listed in the Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Orders tab?

Yes they are entered through Sierra.
It is a part of my trade activity but not a part of the trade/Trade Orders and Positions>>orders tab.

OK we need to understand this much more clearly.

So you are entering an order from Sierra Chart, and you must see it at that time on a chart or Trade DOM. Correct?

And you need to understand the difference between an Order, a Position, and a Fill. These are all documented here:

Yes - I am entering through Sierra.
And Yes - I wish to see orders on the chart. And that I cannot see it in real trading mode but I can when I switch it to the simulate mode.
And lastly Yes - I understand the distinctions between order, position, and a fill.

So you enter an order and then immediately after you cannot see it? What type of order are you entering? This is not making sense to us.

Obviously you are an experienced user and we do not get a question like this from an inexperienced user.

I agree.

It is a bracket order. Mostly a limit order to enter but no matter the type of order to enter - I should be able to see target and stop order, which are both limit based orders if you will.

Like I said, it is fine when I am in the simulation mode. Not so when I switch to live trading mode.

If you are not seeing the orders in Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Orders, these orders were never submitted to begin with.

Here are the instructions to use Attached Orders:

I use attached orders all the time.

And if I do not see the order then how come my trade activity is showing a P/L?

So, I just made sure that orders were submitted. FCM confirmed it.
This issue remains.

Pls let me know what should I do?

PS: Again - it is all ok when in simulated mode but not in live trading mode.

There cannot possibly be any problem with this. When an order is submitted, it is going to be listed in Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Orders.

If it is no longer working it will be hidden if you have Orders >> Show Only Working Orders enabled.

It is not going to be persistently there though. But certainly it is going to be there while the program is running.

We only want to focus on seeing the order on the chart/Trade DOM and on the Orders tab.

The only reason why a working order will not be visible on the chart is if it is outside of its price range. This is explained here:
Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Viewing Working Orders Outside the Visible Price Range

There simply is no other possibility for a problem. So we are suspecting we are not really understanding what you are asking about. Enable order confirmations, and provide a screenshot of the order confirmation and chart when you submit the order if you still need help.

See order confirmations attached.

Look, I am not somebody who just want to haggle on one issue. But I sincerely want to help this resolve.

That said, let me again try and describe the exact circumstances here -

1. I use Trade DOM to enter limit and bracket orders
2. I use attached orders functionality
3. Order do show up on Orders and Positions window but NOT ON CHART, WHICH IS THE PROBLEM.

Now let me repeat this - it is working absolutely fine where it shows the pending orders on the CHART WHEN I AM IN THE SIMULATION MODE. IT, HOWEVER, DOES NOT SHOW THE SAME PENDING ORDERS IN LIVE TRADING MODE. That only tells me that it is not the settings but some distinction between chart and live trading modes.

Let me know.

Also, I must add that I use a Trading DOM (not attached to chart) for order entry. Again, even in that case, the chart shows pending orders in simulation mode but not in the live trading mode.

That said, one another thing is - when I use a trading DOM ATTACHED TO CHART. It all works fine.

So, the problem is when trading DOM IS NOT ATTACHED TO CHART and the problem is only IN LIVE TRADING MODE; NOT IN SIMULATION MODE.

OK we understand now. Just make sure of the following on the chart:

The Trade Window for the chart is using the same Trade Account:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Trade Account (Selecting Trade Account for Chart / Trade DOM)

Most likely this is the problem.

The chart has Trade >> Show Orders and Position enabled.

Yes - that was it. THANK YOU!

Just one q in the concluding order -
Is there a way to mark a default account on charts and DOM such that they are always in tandem?

Yes you can use Chart Linking:
Working With Charts: Chart Linking

And you will want to link the Trade Window.
