Hi, I am using IB as data source. Each time When open the daily chart, it takes very long time to load and I need to use Delete and Download data 4-5 times to finish the data update.

My PC's OS is Windows10, RAM=16GB. I opened 16 stock symbols simultaneously.

Attached is the chart settings.

I have raised this question before, but not solved so far. Please advise.

We need to understand this better.

When you say long time to load, do you mean loading data from the chart data file or downloading the historical data?

I need to use Delete and Download data 4-5 times to finish the data update.
This makes no sense. You should never have to do this and we do not see how it would help especially for a Historical Daily chart.

Also change your Sierra Chart service package to 3 so you do not bother with the garbage Interactive Brokers data and all of the associated problems:

To change your Sierra Chart service package, select "Help >> Account Control Panel" on the Sierra Chart program menu. On the displayed webpage, click on "Change Service Package".

The remaining service usage time on your account will be adjusted based upon the cost of the package you are changing to. If the new package is a higher-priced package, then the usage time will be reduced due to the higher price.

There is no charge for changing your Sierra Chart service package. Only your Sierra Chart account usage time ending date is adjusted.

For symbols that Sierra Chart provides market data for, we will not provide any support to help with Interactive Brokers data issues. This is our policy.

I have switched to package 3, but how can I make sure the daily chart data is from SC data and how to get real-time data from SC data?

Restart Sierra Chart and go to that chart and select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

When you look at Window >> Message Log you should see a line like this for the download:
HD Request # 108 | Received 3897 records from 2001-02-07 00:00:00 to 2016-08-04 00:00:00 (15.5 years) and wrote 3897 records for OIH | 2016-08-04 13:01:54

This indicates the data came from the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service due to the large number of years.

For real-time data you need to follow the instructions here:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php

There is an extra charge for that data feed. So you might not want to use that.
