Hi -

I signed up with AMP futures yesterday and signed up for receiving SP Cash Indices intra day info.
A rep (Daniel) from AMP was in touch with you guys as well today in checking why is it not populating and we do not have a resolution having waited all day today.

Please help.

At this point, we have tried - $SPX, $INX and other SP Indices vendor based products and none of them are streaming intra day data.

Will appreciate help.

20 minutes.

However, we cannot access the data ourselves but it appears like it should work.

Update the Symbol Settings as explained here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings

You will see the symbol listed in File >> Find Symbol >> CQG Indexes.

Yea - even this did not work.

Also, I thought there will be other SP cash indices in addition to just the SP500. I just see one SPC5 in the CQG indices.

The error message reads this -

SPC5 15 Min #8 | Currently no data in file to display. Will start historical data download and real-time updates. File: C:\SierraChart\Data\SPC5.scid | 2016-03-31 20:48:03

Not sure what we can do at this point. But we will ask CQG.

We do have our own data feed that has S&P indices and we actually are checking now to see if we can lower the price of it just for indexes only. Hopefully we will hear about this in a day or 2.

You can get it for 5 dollars for the trial for the next 2 weeks. Documentation is here:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

With our data feed the symbol is $INX and the exchange you need to activate is S&P Indices.

It is always going to be more preferable to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed but we understand it does cost more.

Buying from sierra is not a problem and i agree it is technologically seamless but then sierra charges $35 additional for the data feed pricing in addition to the exchange fees, which is what makes it steep.

Please issue necessary credits to my broker such that I am not charged for something I am not using.

Will appreciate it, please.

Thanks.

- this is what AMP tell me about the charge they put and I understand you are not privy to this but hence my message -

Sierra will be updating me as well, I'll go ahead and disable this feed for you and once billing comes will do a credit.

The billing would come from CQG. Not us.

Also we are going to ask CQG about this. We are doing that now.

If its just one index and the product calls itself - "Indices" -
I do not need the product any more.

I was very keen on buying directly from Sierra but the data feed charge per se is very steep.

I will work around with some other vendor / service now.

Even though you do not see all of the S&P index symbols listed, you can manually type them into the Selected Symbol box of the Find Symbol window, if you know what they are.

We do not know what they are but we will ask CQG if they have a list.

But anyway the first step is to find out why it is not working. That is what we are doing.

The Historical works but the IntraDay does not. I just get a "Download Failed" message. Amp has verified that I am subscribed to the data.

What symbol are you using? If you want cash indices you need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

Specifically refer to:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#AccessCashIndexMarketData

We have not been able to receive any data from CQG for the cash indexes.

Essentially, I would then be paying $38.25 just for SPX Cash Data. Anyway to contact CQG and see what their problem is? Thanks.

No, this is not true. The cost of the data feed for cash indexes is 15 USD per month + exchange fees. When choosing the number of symbols you just need to choose the option for cash indexes only.

We are not going to spend any further time with this, with CQG. This has already been looked into extensively before and we do not know what the problem is other than the CQG system is not provide any cash index data.

Oh, ok, I didn't see that. That's fair enough. I appreciate the option. Thanks! I will look into how to set this up.

Although thinking about this some more, because you have a Sierra Chart account with a broker, there is an additional service fee added onto this.

We need to check on this and get back to you. But you will see it and the price would be higher than 15.

Normally it is additional 7 USD but we have to see if there is a different price for just the indexes only feed.

I was wondering if the fact I have a Sierra account with a broker would be an issue, but more from a technical standpoint. I would really like to use this option, so I hope it is not too much. Please let me know if there are any technical issues (Sierra broker account) that would prevent me from making this work, and what the final price would be. Thanks!

There is no problem from a technical standpoint at all.

We need to get back to you in the morning about the pricing.
