I've had multiple disconnects this morning from your CME futures data feed. It started around 10:30 ET. Even when connected it is lagging. The symbols I am monitoring are ES & CL. Are you aware of the problem? |

I'm having problems with data freezing. I use IB as data so it might be the exchange.

I have another data feed that is working fine. That is how I identified the problem and see the lagging. Also, I have experienced multiple disconnects from the SC service.

canyon2 , we have confirmed that for your account the data is not being received to your side quickly enough and this is what is causing the lag. So this is an Internet connectivity issue. It is not a Sierra Chart server or data center connectivity problem. The issue is affecting only your account which confirms that. When we check the server there was at least 200 K of data pending to be sent to your account. In the next few days will be adding a low bandwidth option which will reduce the number of bid and ask quote updates, that users can use when the experience this kind of problem. Ok, thanks for checking. BTW, the non lagging data feed is on the same computer. So that is odd. I'm going to switch to my backup internet connection and see what happens. |

We also see the connection is tracking 22 symbols. So perhaps that is part of the difference. Also the CME data that the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed provides is completely unfiltered so that does require more bandwidth and maybe that is contributing to the problem. ok, but the number of tracking symbols has been like that for months. It has been spot on for a long time until this morning. Switching to my backup internet connection did not make a difference. Both internet connections are high quality & high speed. Pingplotter is not showing any unusual times. Something else may be the root cause for my problem.

The only reasonable conclusion is that there is still a common route that both of your Internet connections are using to the Sierra Chart servers in Chicago. We have another report today from a user using CQG who also has a connectivity problem to both CQG and to the Sierra Chart servers. So we assume there is some Internet connectivity provider which is having a bandwidth problem. If you can reduce the number of symbols Sierra Chart is tracking, and reconnect to the data feed, that would be a temporary solution. Yep, I think that both of my internet providers may be using similar routes. I'm resetting some stuff and do plan on reducing the symbol load. All but 2 of the symbols are only tracking on a quote board...

We also checked the CPU load of the real-time server process on our servers, and there is nothing unusual and it remains most of the time at 0% which means there is no unusual load problem which could be contributing to the problem.
