Hi, I have "Load Weekend Data" and "new bar at session start" NOT ticked , but looking at overnight only (15:30-8:30), I'm still get the sunday sessions, ie: Oct 4th etc I've tried using the session times and evening session options but both settings still have the Sundays. Have I missed something? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-09 02:08:32

Does not make much sense. If you do not have Load Weekend Data enabled, there should be no timestamps in the chart with a Saturday or Sunday. Although we are making some changes where this could be the case because a weekend is based upon the trading day date which may be different than the actual date based upon Session Times. So you should expect this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. I know it doesn't make sense :( That is why I'm brining it to your attention. I have "Load Weekend Data" not ticked and I definitely have Sundays on my charts. EG see bottom globex charts: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1444513220968.png (1439mins) http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1444512275899.png (1440mins/daily) Sundays: 10-4, 9-27, 9-20, etc I'm trying to compare day ranges with overnights on "intra day only" charts and csv outputs, but can't with Sunday data. If this is the desired effect, can you please recommend a way of removing the Suday data? Cheers Mike. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-10 22:01:43

You will need to change your account to a direct Sierra Chart account for further support: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DirectAccount.html Accounts which are provided by brokers have limited support. I don't see what my account type has to do with a feature not working on your software, but thanks all the same. Mike. |

This is not correct: with a feature not working on your software,
We have verified this. We did not know you were using chart bars of 1 day per bar. Although the bar for Monday will have a starting date of Sunday based upon the Session Times you are using, they do not include any Sunday data if the option to load weekend data is disabled. And as we indicated, in an upcoming release, this will be changed where they will include Sunday data. If that is not what you require, we can possibly add support for this, but we are not willing to do that unless you have a direct paid account. You need to understand the amount of effort involved in handling many of these Support Requests. This is not customer service. This is engineering level support and requires very careful analysis. This is from our support policy: Questions from an account which is not directly paid to Sierra Chart. Some Sierra Chart accounts are provided through brokers or other resellers. These are not directly paid to us. We only provide help for these accounts if the question is basic or involves a problem with basic functionality. Understand for those who do pay directly for Sierra Chart and pay a higher price, that they are entitled to receive more support.

Duplicated charts with setting as per my first post: >=31mins doesn't work, includes a single Sunday candle <=30mins works, no Sunday data http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1444611359260.png I'm not asking for support, just reporting a bug/issue/etc. I'll leave in your capable hands. Cheers Mike. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-12 00:57:12

This is not a bug. This is by design. Refer to the documentation for Load Weekend Data here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#LoadWeekendData We will not spend any further time on this and we are closing this thread.
