I run Sierra Charts 24 hours a day 6 days a week. I noticed that the last two (2) days that in the morning, when I re-activate the displays (4 displays), that Sierra Charts is gone and I only have a Windows screen on all 4 displays. I have spoken with my internet provider (Time Warner Cable) and they tell me that there have been no problem outages on their end. Has Sierra Charts gone offline at anytime in the last 2 to 3 days, in the evenings? If not, what do you recommend that I look at or look for? Many Thanks.

Hi, I'm not SierraChart Support but I'll suggest looking in your Windows Event Viewer (under Admin Tools) > Windows Logs > Application... Then see if you can find any error message relating to SierraChart.exe An example below of what an error report looks like. You might not find one, or it might look different, but you might get some useful information from it. Application: SierraChart_CTS.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.OutOfMemoryException Stack: at System.Text.StringBuilder.ExpandByABlock(Int32) at System.Text.StringBuilder.Append(Char*, Int32) at System.Text.StringBuilder.AppendHelper(System.String) at System.Text.StringBuilder.Append(System.String) at System.Text.StringBuilder.AppendFormat(System.IFormatProvider, System.String, System.Object[]) at System.String.Format(System.IFormatProvider, System.String, System.Object[]) at System.String.Format(System.String, System.Object[]) at T4.Connections.Connection.GetDescription() at T4.Connections.Connection.RaiseDisconnected(System.Object) at System.Threading.QueueUserWorkItemCallback.WaitCallback_Context(System.Object) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object, Boolean) at System.Threading.QueueUserWorkItemCallback.System.Threading.IThreadPoolWorkItem.ExecuteWorkItem() at System.Threading.ThreadPoolWorkQueue.Dispatch() at System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.PerformWaitCallback() |

This is very unusual. Generally these issues are due to a stack corruption. Richard, When you see that SC has gone, did you press control-alt-delete to pull up task manager so you can see if the SC exe process has gone too ?
