Hi, We have been running 4 simultaneous spreadsheet studies. They were running normally, but have now stopped being updated. The charts are updating so we are confident that real-time data is available. Any insights here? Thanks. |

For one of the charts, what is the chart number containing the Spreadsheet study? This is the number on the title bar of the chart after the #. Go into the Study Settings window for the Spreadsheet study. What is the Chart Data Output Sheet Number set to? Go to the spreadsheet and make sure you have selected the correct Sheet at the top left. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I can affirm that the chart numbers are aligned. I have restarted Sierra and the spreadsheets began populating and have been populating for a few hours. If this reoccurs I will validate the chart numbers and update this thread. |

OK, this is concerning that you had to restart to solve this.

We have noticed that the new spreadsheets have additional sheets. To our knowledge, we did not create these additional sheets as it is our intention that each .scss file is to have only one sheet. If we delete the extra sheet, the deleted sheet immediately re-appears. In one .scss, one of the sheets is actively being updated and the other sheet is not being updated. Any insights here? |

Any and all of the deleted sheets reappear. The sheets are named using what appears to be the default naming convention from Sierra Chart. Each scss that has an 'extra' sheet has 'Sheet1' and another sheet such as 'Sheet4'. All scss files that have the extra sheet have a 'Sheet1' but the extra sheet does not have a duplicate sheet number. In other words, though we have 4 'Sheet1' across 4 scss files, there is only one 'Sheet2' and one 'Sheet3'. It may be that the sheets are not being deleted. After deleting a sheet, for example, 'Sheet2' the focus of the scss file reverts to 'Sheet1'. In the drop down menu that exposes the sheet name, 'Sheet2' is there - so it may never have actually been deleted. |

I have just loaded the chartbook on a different machine. On this ancillary machine, I was able to delete the additional sheets. However, after I saved, closed, then re-opened the chartbook, the additional sheets re-appeared. I repeated this test 2 times and the behavior was the same. |

If a Sheet within a Spreadsheet window is reappearing after deleting it, then the only possibility is that there is a Spreadsheet study on one of the charts in one of the open Chartbooks, that is using that particular Sheet in the Spreadsheet window where it is reappearing. If you see Sheet4 appear, then this would be caused by a Spreadsheet study on a chart with Chart Number #4 (displayed at the top line of the chart), or the Spreadsheet Study Chart Data Output Sheet Number input is set to 4 and is set to use that particular Spreadsheet window.
