SC 1224, Futures enabled for SC Historical Data Service, IB intraday data.

1)I usually check Daily OHLC data with the CME website and there are typically no issues with these values.

For the last few days, for symbols CL, NG, GC, SI, HG, HO, RB, and even ES, NQ and YM, there have been differences with some of the OHL values, though C is usually OK, ie the settlement value.

Edit: ZC and ZS had different Opening values for 7th July, ZW was OK.

Any reason for the sudden change?

2)The intraday symbol HG on my charts changes itself to HHI. I have unchecked the option to check with server on startup, it still happens. I have just unlinked the chart symbols between Daily and intraday in case there is an issue there.

There is no problem getting HG data from IB, it is just the symbol on my charts changes to HHI for some reason.

1. Please provide specific references to the CME website and what you see within Sierra Chart for a particular symbol with the historical daily data and we will verify an inconsistency and contact our data provider.

We would be extremely surprised, if there is anything more than an error or two, if any. If there are numerous errors, then we suspect the data you are looking at is not from the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service.

2. What do you mean by: "unchecked the option to check with server on startup". We do not know what this is.

The only reason we can think of the symbol might change is if you are using Chart Linking. Set the link number on the chart to None. Refer to the "Working with Charts" documentation for more information. You may have a custom study which is changing the symbol. Or it is manually been changed through the keyboard.

Thank you for the prompt response.

Re. 1, this will have to wait till tomorrow. I have edited all the Historical Data files so I can no longer give the 'before' numbers for all the symbols mentioned.

Meantime, they might check Opening value for ZC December 2015 against

http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/agricultural/grain-and-oilseed/corn_quotes_settlements_futures.html

and Opening Value for ZS November 2015 against

http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/agricultural/grain-and-oilseed/soybean_quotes_settlements_futures.html

being Final values for Tuesday 7th July.

Re. 2, I am referring to Global Settings->Symbol Settings->Overwrite existing settings when updating from server. This might be completely irrelevant, but with Daily and Intraday charts set to HG, I could see no reason why anything should change to HHI unless something external affected it. I have not been accessing Chart Settings apart from Symbol Rollover days, so I do not see how it could have been changed inadvertently.

BTW, re 2, someone had this weird issue before, but you couldn't duplicate it then.

In any case I have delinked the Chart symbols, hopefully that solves it.

We will look at the opening prices for those particular markets.

What is described that other thread mentioned in post #4, could not be a problem any longer in the newer Sierra Chart versions. So please update Sierra Chart to the current version.
