Hi, I noticed yesterdasy that the currency futures EURUSD (EU6) as well as GBPUSD (BP6) do not receive realtime quotes via CQG, after working properly beforehand. Other futures operate well like FESX or MiniDow. My Broker confirmed that there are some other clients facing the same phenomenon. Could you please take care for fixing that problem? Would downgrading of SierraChart a potential solution? Thank you for your effort in advance! Kind regards Lothar |

We are aware of this and this problem has been clearly communicated to CQG. We do not see how it is a problem on the Sierra Chart side. Downgrading Sierra Chart to an earlier version will not help.

This problem has been solved by CQG. Apparently they restarted their server.

I noticed late last night that CQG stopped updating. Initially thought it might be my ISP but it wasn't. I manually disconnected but couldn't reconnect. I had to close/restart sc. It connected but then would not backfill data. After more jiggering everything worked but since starting with version #27 I don't think I've encountered something like that fwiw. Ver.1261 |

This was because CQG apparently restarted the server probably because of this problem we reported to them. This was the cause of the problems including affecting backfill temporarily. The closing and restarting of Sierra Chart as being the solution was only coincidental. During that time the server came back. None of these issues are on the Sierra Chart side. It is also concerning that CQG does not have a second server. If they take a server off-line like they did, then users are stuck. Does not make much sense for a company like CQG. All of our systems always have redundancy. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. The CQG server is common to all clearing firms. They are not specific to individual customers.

That sounds unbelievable for me. What they gonna do in case of hardware malfunction or fault? Even smaller businesses have backups. But why those EU6 and other currency contracts were running flawlessly on my CQG front-end applications then? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-06-20 11:32:55

The CQG front-end applications do not use the Google protocol buffer based web API from CQG.

We are noticing this ourselves. We are telling CQG about this now.
