I've just had communication with FXCM reference setting up my account for FIX access/trading. FXCM have advised that the whole agreement with SierraChart has been cancelled, therefore they're not offering reduced spreads or FIX access. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? |

We have given this some thought. If you already have an FXCM account, and you would like FIX access, Then please let us know your name and your FXCM account number. Please provide it through an Account Support Ticket here: https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=SupportTickets We will contact FXCM for you and get this taken care of. Please do not be concerned about the communication from FXCM UK, it is a misunderstanding. There is an understanding between FXCM and Sierra Chart to provide our customers FIX access because we strongly believe this provides the most reliable connectivity between Sierra Chart and FXCM. To get the reduced spreads, you do have to use one of the application forms that you find here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/FXCMTrading.php If you already have an account with FXCM, you are not going to be entitled to a new reduced spread account. So please do not ask anyone at FXCM for that. If this is the case, then the response you got from FXCM UK would be expected. Essentially what they are saying, is they are not willing to change your account. But we can give you FIX access for an existing account. Thanks. Prior to posting and contact my acc mgr I emailed FXCM requesting FIX access. Late yesterday I received the connection details and it's working fine. The spreads issue is, as you say, due to having an account with them previously. Thanks for your assistance. |

gdm 1972, is your UK account a spreadbetting account? I'm not clear if it's possible to have a Sierra fix account with equity index spreadbetting (as opposed to a CFD account) and would be grateful if you can shed any light on this? (Past attempts at communicating with FXCM haven't been very productive.)

Spinoza, no it's not a spreadbetting account.
