Advance Decline Line
This calculates the Advanced Decline Line from the data for a symbol that indicates the number of Advancing Issues minus Declining Issues on an exchange.
This data is provided with the Sierra_Chart Market Statistics Data Feed. The symbol for the NYSE is NISS-NYSE. The Advance Decline Line study can be applied to a chart of the NISS-NYSE symbol.
Functionally and mathematically this study is equivalent to the Cumulative Sum of Study study.
You would want to use the Cumulative Sum of Study study instead if you want the option to reset the calculation at the start of the trading day.
