I wish to run four symbols on four screens using the same study for each screen/symbol. I use one trade service (IB) and use your Service Package 10 and the Denali Real Time Data for the CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX futures. Can/should I do this in one main instance with 3 sub-instances (my preference but I can't seem to get there); or do I need to load 4 copies of Sierra Chart and run them all separately.

You can do all that in one instance, and no sub-instances. Have you tried that? You can detach the charts and place them on separate monitors. Each instance adds overhead, using RAM, disk, and network resources in duplicate. The upside of using separate instances is they can run on their own core processors, improving CPU efficiency. If your charts have a lot of data and studies running on them, then taking advantage of the additional cores will help. Just make sure you have plenty of RAM. |
