When I open a chart with bar period 0-0-1 (and underlying storage unit = 1 Tick) and load a depth-based study such as "Bid & Ask Depth Bars" and subsequently do any of the following: - Close the chart - Close Sierra Chart - Change the symbol - Change the time frame Basically make any changes to the chart, it takes a LONG time to "unload" the memory. Looking at the used memory in Windows, I see it decreasing but very slowly. The unload takes approximately 1 minute for 5 days of data. Loading the data takes only 1-3 seconds. it is not a RAM issue, as I have 128GB and SC is using no more than 20-40GB. No errors are logged (log verbosity set to max) and everything works fine except for this very slow unload. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Steps to reproduce: Open a chart with ES-CME and the following settings: - Intraday storage time unit: 1 Tick - Bar Period Value: 0-0-1 - Include Columns With No Data: Yes - Data Limiting: Use date range and set range to 5+ days - Add the "Bid & Ask Depth Bars" study to the chart Now close the chart or open another symbol in the chart, or close SC. |

Contact Microsoft . This is definitively not a Sierra Chart issue at all. It is not a Sierra Chart issue at all. We will not say anything further. It is fully unrelated to Sierra Chart. The steps to reproduce never will be followed under any circumstances and are totally and completely irrelevant to us. Sierra Chart is one of the few programs in the world, that has the best and most reliable memory management. Memory is instantly released.
