It indicates a serious error occurred.

It can happen if you are using custom studies that have a bug. Refer to help topic 17 here:

I am not using a custom study. I am using a Study/price overlay though? It only occurs when I open up 8 chartbooks, regardless of what chartbook it is. anythoughts on that?

It is hard to track down the source of a problem like this when there are a lot of Chartbooks involved.

Do you use any detached charts?

You can install another instance of Sierra Chart and see if you notice the problem.

If you can determine what particular Chartbook that you are using which causes the error, then we can test it.

Yes. I have 25 detached charts. Can you send me a link on instructions regarding a second instance of SC on same computer. Thanks

We recommend attaching all of those charts to see if that solves the problem. If it does, then this indicates an operating system problem.

I now have another instance of SC and Im using a lot less RAM and not receiving error messages any longer. Is there a way that I can mirror my first instance of SC as far as Tool Bar customizations etc. Also I went to Global settings, Tool settings and Support Vertical scaling/Movement with Hand Tool but the function of the wheel on mouse consolidating chart is not working. Is there a setting that Im missing?
