Why can't length be modified?

Essentially the study is using a Length of 5, as it is averaging over a series of 5 bars for each period. Refer to the following:

can I base it off of a simple moving average to change the length?

No. It is hard-coded to only look at 5 bars.

You have to compile cpp files using Analysis > Build Custom Study DLL

DLL is also attached to this post. Goes in the data folder.
