Attached video is SC/Denali DOM alongside Bookmap/Rithmic DOM. I notice that SC is not as smooth, or jumps around relative to BM and am wondering if Denali datafeed aggregates ticks and if yes, can this be turned off? Otherwise, is there something I can do to improve SC DOM performance to be more in-line with th Bookmap DOM? I have gone through Help Topic 30 and have enacted all of the suggestions, which did help some, but in medium to fast markets, SC DOM still seems to lag the BM DOM just by a hair and also seems to skip or combine bids/offers. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

Turn on OpenGL in the global graphics setting under the other tab. Put DOM in a stand alone instance - however you wont be able to manage orders on a chart in a 2nd instance Change Chart update interval in global to 1000ms, and then change the dom to 100ms under the display tab in chart settings The display tab shows the chart performance / update speed Aggregate tick sizes on tpo and further optimize charts Start on a blank instance with blank chartbook, with just a DOM and then compare with Bookmap Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-03-11 19:19:37

Appreciate the input... I've pretty much already done all of that, OpenGL applied. I don't use charts or TPO'S so DOM is already in it's own instance. Just seems to lag and/or skip levels compared to BM DOM.It's minimal, but for the way I trade, very noticable.

Refer to the following: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks John, like I said, I've gone through Help topic 30 and enacted all suggestions before starting this thread. It may be that the SC DOM is just not quite as responsive as the BM DOM. Either that or Denali engine is missing a tick here and there, enough to cause the tiny lag. Thanks again,

What is the "Chart Update Interval" of the Trading DOM set to?

It's set to 100 ms right now, I've tried several different values from 10 to 500

It is impossible for us to compare to other systems, as each system does things differently. Our recommendation is to set the "Chart Update Interval" to as low a value that gives you what you are wanting.
