OpenGL performance with Intel Arc GPU?

Can anyone comment on how well Sierra Chart runs OpenGL with the Intel Arc GPUs? I'm considering getting a new laptop, and I'm unsure if I want to get this or just spring for an nVidia GPU. Thanks! |

Also, I'm a bit unclear on Sierra's recommendation here. John says I should have a dedicated GPU and ideally nVidia Sierra Chart GPU question Sierra Chart Engineering says integrated graphics should be fine Recommendations for new trading PC |

Haven't tested Arc specifically, and it may be specific to my setup, but on Win 11 with Arc + Nvidia 4070, OpenGL is currently unusable with the latest versions of Sierra. When on, it introduces a ton of lag. When off, everything runs flawless, even in these extreme market conditions.

I'm on version 2695 I run some extremely heavy chartbooks across numerous instances. OpenGL is a must to have on. I'm on windows 11 with a 4090 and intel cpu. Safe bet is to look into what has more accessibility in Open GL across applications Intel vs Nvidia. Safe bet is to go with nvidia, you don't need to go all out on a new gen gaming gpu in a laptop.
