Hi everyone. I have one Sierra user account. I wish to trade stocks by subscribing to the Denali Data feed Nasdaq TotalView exchange. I also wish to trade futures by subscribing to the Denali Data feed Full CME group exchange. I wish to subscribe to the Sierra Service package 11. I have one computer I wish to trade on. My broker is interactive brokers. I have tried to read from the documentation but failed to find an answer that is clear.

My questions are as follows.

1.How many purchases of the Sierra Chart service package 10 do I need to purchase? I ask because I’m not sure if I need to purchase one service package for use with one data feed (eg.for trading stocks), and a second service package license for trading futures. I am only using one computer, have one Sierra login and wish to trade both sticks and futures.

2.Do I need to create 2 instances of Sierra chart on my one computer? One which connects to one data feed, a second instance that connects to the other data feed?

3.If I need to create 2 instances, do I use the one Sierra login account to log in to both instances? Or do you need a separate Sierra login, one for each instance?

Sorry for the questions.

Simon

1. You can only have a single package with each Sierra Chart account. As you note, you only need a single Sierra Chart account, therefore you would only have the one package for that account.

2. You do not need separate instances to get the data, one instance is fine. The only reason you would need different instances is if you are using different brokers (such as Interactive Brokers for Stocks and AMP Futures for The CME Group Futures).

3. If you do create 2 instances (which you do not) then you would sign in using the same Sierra Chart account (you just need the one account).

Hi John, thank you so very much for answering it.

So basically,

I buy Sierra Chart sp 11 once.
I subscribe to Denali Data feed Nasdaq TotalView.
I subscribe to Denali Data feed Full CME Group.
I can then use my Sierra Chart login to view both data feeds above in the same Sierra Chart instance.

Is that correct? (no more questions).
