This is perfect this is all I need.. I thought of getting CQG Q trader and i really like the platform (i am still low volume) but if i can see these on Sierra.. there is no need.. i can execute on SC or R Trader as u mentioned thanks again i sleep today with happy dreams |

The only difference between "supported" daily charts and "built" from intraday data charts could be closing price. For daily data, as a rule, settlement price is used for bar close (but again, CQG has recently added option to set daily bar close using last price depends on customer needs). In case with the "built" bars, close price may be last traded price. I didn't check that b/c I didn't need it but you can compare. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-03-19 22:31:42

Usually how different is last traded price vs settlement price for the grains? Where do i get the settlement price info?

and i doubt on most days it would make much of a difference if u are looking for longer term trend spreads

For grains should be insignificant. For crude and natural gas maybe huge. Settlement procedure for grains is here: http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/agricultural/files/daily-grains-settlement-procedure.pdf But you are right, longer term it doesn't make any sense. |

If you need settlement price, you can use SC study to show it.

Thank u i am learning more and more on Sierra and loving it. Prob going to open a Optimus/ADM account and trade directly using Sierra.. I am starting to really like their trading DOM and strategies.. no reason I can trade spreads on that as well Do u day trade the spreads?? is that your bread and butter? i do outrights and now thinking maybe spreads maybe better...even for daytrading.....lesser risk but no experience.. would love to chat regarding this |
