Hi, I've reviewed Developing Custom Studies and Systems for Sierra Chart and https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/AdvancedCustomStudyInterfaceAndLanguage.php#Redistributing. If a custom study uses other studies as inputs, how can these custom studies add the required input studies as a background process? Can these input studies be accessible to the distributed custom study and added when the custom study is added to the user's charts but the custom study is the only study listed as that's the only study that the user added? |

Short Answer: Yes. Long Answer: If the input studies already exist in the Data folder, (e.g. included with Sierra Chart or another custom study) then only your study needs to be distributed. When the chart is opened, all the studies on the chart are opened, and if they are all there, then you are good to go. If your study depends on the output of another one of your studies, then they both need to be distributed. |
