I installed version 1187 and now I find all my charts have reverted to 00:00:00 start time and 23:59:59 second time. Then this is replicated in evcening session. I purposely do not try beta versions due to previous problems. Also having problems with new interface in data/trade settings--still getting historical data when set to zero timeout and volume 10x when set to 0 Why is there another timezone question in chart settings which is not updated when I thought that was covered in data settings?

Are you referring to the Session Times found in Chart >> Chart Settings?

Those will not change for existing charts.

still getting historical data when set to zero timeout and volume 10x when set to 0
Set the Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download settings to 0 in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings.

The bar volume for Interactive Brokers symbols should be actual volume and we cannot change that.

All of my charts that did not have global symbol settings intraday session times set, reverted to the above. Every one. ONly those that had previous session times set were spared.

This could not have happened merely by opening a Chartbook.

Did you change the symbol of a chart?

They did change--said nothing about it being tied to opening a chartbook. Upgraded approximately 100 versions. Have since installed all intraday session settings globally, all within charts i'm using, have installed "MY Time" on second page of chart settings and dechecked box for RT historical charat updating. If there is anything else I can do to prevent this in the future, please reply. Else, nothing needed.

After updating Sierra Chart and to see the saved charts, you do have to open a Chartbook. So we know that action at a minimum took place. That in itself cannot change Session Times.

It is unknown why the Session Times would have changed without changing the symbol of a chart.

There is a Link Session Times option in Chart Settings. Maybe that is enabled. We recommend disabling that.

Thanks for the info. I don't use the right hand side of Chart Settings second page at all. Maybe I was wrong about historical, now I'm getting intraday chart data for everything I follow with no way to turn that off--or is there?

So you want to disable the downloading of historical Intraday data completely?

Yes, but see I get lost. Is historical Intraday data what is used for SC historical charts? I presently don't use them but am looking at it and alternatives as I need some currency charts that go back quuite a ways. I never want to mess with my intraday data which I distinguish from EOD data--what I'm looking at.

Do you want data for currency futures or the cash currency market?
