I'm trying to set up an intraday chart to only show data from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. I reviewed the Chart Session Times: To Chart Only the Day Session in an Intraday Chart I set the session Start time to 09:29:59. I set the session End time to 16:29:59. Also, set the "Use Evening Session" to No. However, the price still moves in the evening session. What other setting do I need to apply to the chart to get only RTH hours data on the chart? I have attached a screenshot of the Chart Session settings. I also have Ninja Trader and I only have to select "CME US Index Futures RTH" option in the Time Frame. The chart then only displays RTH data and the price never moves during Globex hours. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-02-27 02:35:51

Yes the price moves, but the candles are correct, so I don't understand what the problem is? (I gave it a try with the same settings as you, just the part "Apply Intraday... is set to NO)

1. The first problem is that I am using data from a Sierra-provided study (ATR) from that session chart, which affects the other Sierra-provided studies that used that value. The value also doesn't match the same default study(ATR) of NT. 2. The 2nd problem is if the chart is only supposed to be receiving data from the assigned session. Then why is the chart receiving and processing data from outside that assigned session? 3. "Apply Intraday... is set to NO)". Well I do want to use the Intra-Day Sessions times and data only. Not Globex. So I have set it to yes. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-02-27 10:55:14

ad 3: yes I've set it the same way as you and I only get the intraday-session (though I use NO), but no problem, I just wanted to let you know that it works with NO as well. Support-Team will watch your posting and find a solution :)

We are not understanding the issue. The data continues to be downloaded and the price updates in the Price Ladder per the new data, regardless of your chart session times, but your chart is only going to show the information for the Session Times as you have defined them. If there is an issue with the price continuing to update even though your Session Times show what you want, then we are not understanding the particular issue and need more information. No, the NY sessions times chart does not show what I want. Your SC ATR value does not match the ATR value of the NT Chart that only uses the RTH of the market. Which causes incorrect calculation results in my other SC Charts, that use the ATR value from SC NY sessions times chart. The NT RTH charts and the SC NY Session chart are set to the exact minute bars and the ATR length settings on both charts are set to the same value. Yet the output values are extremely different from each other. |

I think I may have solved the problem on the SC NY sessions times chart. I will have to wait until the market opens to see what the resulting ATR value does for the other calculations. |
