Hi, I was a dom trader until recently but I decided to eliminate the dom of my screen and trade from the chart. I usually close a position on the market with a keyboard shortcut. On the dom everythinng disapears and its clean after closing to market but on the chart if I use Buy @ Market or sell @ Market a new SL/TP will appear that will put my account in danger if I'm not cautious. How can I avoid this issue? see img1 and 2 Img1 shows how trade was on with a SL/TP Img2 shows trade closed and old SL/TP + a new SL/TP |

The best option is to use "Flatten and Cancel" to close out a position rather than sending an opposing order. But, if you want to send an opposite order, then you need to make sure that you do not have any attached orders with that opposing order. You can either use a "Trade Configuration" or toggle the "Use Attached Orders" option. For both of these there are control bar and keyboard shortcuts you can use. Refer to the following: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Using and Changing Between Different Trade Window and Attached Orders Configurations For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
