hello,
I'm using the function in the spreadsheet =PERCENTRANK($BO$3:$BO$400,BO3). it populates the values shown in the first picture but when I plot it as a subgraph, it doesn't show anything shown in the second pic.

Start by resetting the scales. The scale as it is showing in your image for the "Study Subgraph Reference" is around 36.00, but your values are in the tenths of a value, so the scale is definitely out of range.

If the above does not work, then check the scale settings for the "Study Subgraph Reference" and make sure it is set to "Automatic". Refer to the following:
