After the last couple of updates Sierra Chart started crashing / shutting down on its own for whatever reason completely out of the blue.
Is there a problem with my PC or something or Is it related to the last versions of Sierra (Have other users reported it as well?) ?
Cheers.

We do not have any other reports of system crashes with the latest releases.

What kind of computer are you using? Is it an Apple by any chance?

Please update to the latest release (2741) as there have been some changes that might be related to this, particularly if you are using an Apple computer. Follow these instructions to update:

We need to know the CPU that you are using.

Also refer to the above post.

If you are continuing to have trouble we are able to troubleshoot this problem. Let us know if you still have the issue after updating.

I have updated the version and so far haven't experienced any crashes, but haven't used it much since the update itself.
My CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

First thing we want you to do is to enable saving of the Message Log and when this happens again we need the latest log file. Instructions:
Message Log: Automatically Saving Message Log to File

We will then determine the next step to isolate the problem.

Also, make sure Sierra Chart is running in Safe Mode:

Whenever I've had random PC crashes it's always been a RAM problem. That's the first area I'd test.

Use something like https://www.memtest.org/ and run it overnight. If you want to be thorough then test 1 stick at a time.

However, the above is slightly technical in that you have to create a bootable USB drive (with the Memtest software installed) and then (possibly) play with the BIOS to make sure the PC boots first from the USB drive.
