in your portal i see this :(((( Can Other Programs Use the Trading Connection and Data Feed? [Link] - [Top] Yes, they can use the DTC Protocol and connect to the DTC Server in Sierra Chart. )))). I believe this to be at true statement , is this true or not, or what is that i do not understanding of maybe doing in the wrong way with my script data request functions ? |

It half true and half false (at one point it was true, but exchange rules changed). You can use the DTC protocol as a trading connection between systems. But you can NOT use the DTC protocol for the data feed (the exchanges do not allow this). You can access the data and information within Sierra Chart through our ACSIL interface. Refer to the following: Advanced Custom Study Interface and Language (ACSIL) And you can export the data from the system and access the files. Refer to the following: Edit Menu: Edit >> Export Bar Data to Text File You definitely cannot access the real-time data outside of the Sierra Chart program. If the above does not answer your question, then we would need more information on what you are trying to do.
