Hi, I am having trouble with the platform. Can I get help with this please? I am just looking to use a simple numbers bar/footprint through IBKR, however the numbers are glitchy and incorrect. I had it working fine for a week or so and then it just stopped. Can someone help please. Thanks

We need to see an image of your chart by following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: Attaching or Posting a Screenshot/Image (Optional)

Also, keep in mind that you are getting your data from Interactive Brokers, so make sure your connectivity with the TWS software is working properly. Refer to the setup instructions at the following link:

I have attached also a screenshot of when everything was working well. IBKR is set up as per your instructions and worked perfect for a couple of weeks. Hope to hear from you soon, John

Is this just with historical data from Interactive Brokers (i.e. data that downloaded when first connecting to IB after having been offline for some time)? Or are you seeing this with the real-time data as it is coming in as well?

Please check the following setting:
- Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Download 5 Seconds Historical Intraday Data

Make sure this is set to "No".

Also, check the following:
- Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Intraday Data Storage Time Unit

Make sure this is set to "1 tick". If it is not, then change it and select OK to close the window. Then select "File >> Reconnect" to reconnect to the data feed. Then go to one chart for each symbol and select "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". This will redownload all the data for the chart in order to have it all stored in the 1 tick increment.

Really appreciate your reply. Unfortunately both of your suggested changes were in place already so it hasn't helped

What is one symbol for which you are having this issue? Do you have this problem with a liquid instrument such as the ES from the CME Group?

Yes. All I trade is ES from CME group. Nothing else. I have attached todays outlook. The data is incorrect showing a much lower number than what is accurate

The display of the information looks good to us. We can not comment on the accuracy of the data as the data is coming from Interactive Brokers.

If you want to see what our data looks like in comparison, then install a second Sierra Chart and do not change any of the Data/Trade Service Settings. It will be setup by default to connect to our data. You will then be able to get the delayed streaming data in that installation for comparison. Just be aware that the symbol naming is different, so you will need to open the chart through File >> Find Symbol to make sure you get the correct symbol for the ES.

Refer to the following for how to install a second Sierra Chart:

You cannot use Interactive Brokers data for Numbers Bars.

And we do not provide any technical help at all for Interactive Brokers data. None.

Thanks for reaffirming to me that you cant help @Sierra engineering. Interesting that some of you here in the support are saying that it does work and it has worked for me already. Strange

Numbers Bars are going to be inaccurate with Interactive Brokers data. This has always been the case. If we have said otherwise, that is not true.

This is very easy. Complete the CME market data agreements here:

And then activate the CME top of book data here:
