Did a new 2nd install. The charts loaded and the control bars. But all RIGHT CLICK options when using the mouse do not work , no choices to select from. How do I get the right click menu options to work in the new install which folder do I copy over from the other install? Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation When you have this on the instruction page is this correct? In the new installation of Sierra Chart, select Global Settings >> General Settings. Enable the Always Use 'Data' Folder within Main Folder option. This will ensure the correct folder is always used. Because this option does NOT EXIST. What does exist is General Settings >> PATHS Always Use 'Data' Folder within Main Folder option. YES OR NO Or do you mean to use this>>> Always Copy Configuration Files to New Instances When Started? I did an update to current version and did now the right click options ARE WORKING in the Main Instance and the second instance! Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-02-10 00:42:52

There were a few releases where there was work being done on the right-mouse and menu options, so what you were seeing was related to being on one of those particular releases. Now that you are on the current release, everything should be fine. The option you would want to set to "Yes" is "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths >> Always use 'Data' Folder within Main Folder". This ensures that the Data folder that is being referenced is for that specific installation. Sierra Chart does not support sharing 'Data' folders, so this helps ensure that everything is set properly. The option for "Always Copy Configuration Files to New Instances When Started" only applies to instances started by selecting "File >> New Instance". This does not apply to separate installations of Sierra Chart. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
