Hi, apologies for my English. And sorry for asking this here, but I don't know where to ask specifically.

I got a paid subscription to Claude Sonnet. 15 month for the Pro subscription.

I recently found that it has like a "lenght limit" despite paying for the subscription. I found articles about paying API separately.

Sorry i'm not a developer nor a coder, but this tool is EXTREMELY helpful for a dummy like me.

Do i have to pay for that API or whatsoever to increase the length or not having it?

https://www.anthropic.com/pricing#anthropic-api

I understand that i have to pay. But i don't have any clue what M/tok means. I mean, I can deduct that the first option is 15/Mtok.. like I need to pay 15 dollars per 1 Mtok? But what is Mtok? How much i could be able to work If i bought 1 Mtok or paying 15 dollars.

I don't care paying, but I waant to have an idea of the cost.

I tried Gemini bard (not paying), Deepseek etc... awful results (coding).

Is there any EXCELLENT or near that level that is worth paying.

I would love to stay with cloud sonnet I did huge progress, but i could change.

Chat GPT.

With about 500 hours on ACSIL only and almost a million lines of code, no other platform comes close in terms of ability and flexibility (imo anyways).

For $20/mo, it's a no brainer.

However, if you don't know what you want in your code and know how to ask for it, none of the AI platforms are going to solve your problems, especially if there's any complexity.

BIG thanks!

I will change then.

Yes I got clear what i want and know how to "prompt"..well big term there.. but i know how to tell. At least for what I need.

Do i have to subscribe to a specific version of GPT?

An alternative, if you are using VS Code or Visual Studio, and only care to use ChatGPT etc for coding could be GitHub Copilot.

Does copilot Github will be more complicated for me as a newbie?

Maybe, initially, but once setup you have everything there in the same program.
VS Code is going to be easier to setup than Visual Studio.
Plenty youtube videos available on the subject.

User431178 i don't discard that option.. but i want to keep it as simple as i could.

Update: Cloud sonnet it's incredible. Help me a lot. Got already 238 lines of code (remember, i'm a person with CERO programming knowledge) with nearly 0 problem. The IA even intuit sometimes what i want.

the problem that i'm having now is that i didn't know this IA's has time limit usage. I can't send more than 45 messages in 5 hours. And it seem it doesn't matter you have a paid subscription.

Every IA has that time limitations?

I can't believe how GOOD is claude sonnet 3.5

the problem is the limitations.

I even try Claude 3.5 Hayku and.. disaster. I search in google and found Sierra Chart ChatGPT which i supposed is like entirely and trained for Sierra Chart ACSIL language... big disaster. I even try to ask something WAY less complex that from what i was asking to claude sonnet 3.5 and there is no way to get it right.

I will have to wait 3 hours.

Did this post to update and if someone is considering Claude Sonnet 3.5... totally worth it.

Even tough in the future I will try the copilot github and chatgpt 4o paid version.
