Hi there, I am trying to figure out a way to update all chart drawings across multiple charts to curent symbol after rollover in batch. Let me explain; In a single chartbook I have 7 different charts, all showing the same asset but on a different timeframes with different studies applied on each chart. When it's time to rollover, I go on one of those charts and perform the update by checking "Also rollover chart drawing symbols". Those charts are all linked so the update of the ticker is performed across every chart, and that's by design. However, the chart drawings symbols are updated only on the chart I performed the rollover, not every chart in the chartbook, despite the checkmark on "Also rollover chart drawing symbols". I scouted online and I found I could perform the drawing update "across the board" also by linking studies on all of those charts. However, I noticed that by linking the studies as well, if I tri to modify a study on one chart, the link messes all up in every charts, and that's a big issue so this is definitely not the way to do it. I have a portfolio of 23 different assets and for every asset I have 7 charts. I believe you do understand that updating each and every drawing on every chart during the rollover becomes very time consuming. Is there a way that I can perform the update of the chart drawings on each and every chart within the same chartbook "in batch", without me needing to go on each and every chart and doing the procedure? Thanks for your help. Fabio |

We are working on a solution to this. We are adding a new setting to apply the futures symbol rollover to the same symbol across all Chartbooks.

Actually regarding post #2 we see this is how it already works. We understand now the reason for the problem when using chart linking, and that will be resolved in the next release.

Just updated my CL contracts from H to J and I noticed that the drawings are updated too. Thanks for the help. However, I also notice this when I did the update; I usually start the update with the daily chart and having all my charts linked they start the update across the board. This time it didn't. When I updated the daily it updated just that chart despite the link. Then I updated one of the intraday chart and all of the other updated too. I suppose it is something that has to do with the daily VS intraday? Thought to mentioned it because before it was working. Thanks, Fabio. |

We can resolve this but really the way it works is that the rollover is meant to rollover the same chart data type. So the same symbol and the same data type. So either Historical or Intraday. You have to perform a rollover for the Historical charts for the symbol and also the Intraday charts for the same symbol separately. But we can make that all one step.
