Hi, I'd like to set a custom audio alert for each chart across all sub instances. Example audio alerts: Order filled in Crude Order filled in Heating Oil Order filled in Nat Gas etc. I've associated the .wav files with their corresponding Alert identifiers, but I am not sure where to configure each .wav file on a chart by chart basis. If it is the Chart>Chart Settings>Alert>Alert Condition field...I am not sure what formula to enter. Whatever I try the Alerts log says Error: Study | GCG25_FUT_CME [CV][M] 10 Min #1 | Metals | Alert Formula Error - Chart: GCG25_FUT_CME [CV][M] 10 Min #1 | Error: #NAME? | Formula: =ORDERFILLED | No alert sound/email. | 2025-01-28 23:25:50 Thank you |

This is not possible. You would have to develop a custom study that detects order fills and play your own sound file.

The Alert for "Order Filled" is set at a Global level. Refer to the following: Global Trade Settings Windows: Play Alert When Order Filled (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Notifications) If you are using different instances for each product, then you could setup the appropriate alert number to have the sound you want. Refer to the following: General Settings Window: Configuring Alert Number Instructions If you have multiple instruments within a single instance, then a workaround for this would be to use the "Trading: Position Quantity" study for the charts on which you want to get an alert and set the following for the Alert condition in that study: =SG1 <> SG1[-1] This will then give you an alert whenever the quantity changes, which would only occur on an order fill. You would then setup each study to have a different alert number with the appropriate sound you want. You can hide the "Trading: Position Quantity" study. Refer to the following: Trading Information Windows: Trade Data Studies Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Operators Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Referencing Study Subgraphs Chart Studies: Settings and Inputs Tab >> Hide Study For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I love how Sierra has so many tools, if one knows which tools to use you can accomplish just about anything. Actually, it's multiple sub instances, with multiple charts on each sub instance. The default Order Fill alert is still triggering along with my custom alert. How do I turn off the default audio alert? Is it this? Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Notifications Play Alert When Order Filled (Others) (List) = No Alert Sound On each sub instance. Is that correct? Thank you |

If you are using sub-instances and the sub-instances are not set to be in Simulation Mode, then orders are sent through the Main Instance. In this case, if you have an alert setup for the "Play Alert when Order Filled" option in the sub-instances, then you would get a notification from the sub-instance as well as a notification from the main instance. In this case, you would want to set the "Play Alert when Order Filled" option to "No Alert Sound" in the sub-instances, but keep it set as you want in the Main Instance.
