Overlapping profiles

Hi,

I have a 5 day(blue) and a 20 day(grey) volume profile right aligned on my chart. Although the last two days are overlapping from a volume perspective after the gap both profiles do not have the same size(see at the yellow rectangle). The blue profile is larger than the grey one. Both profiles are set to Maximum Volume Bar Width Type Window with and Maximum Volume Bar Width Percentage 5. Normally the blue profile would be in the foreground. I've put it only temporary in the background that you can see the difference in size.

Any idea how I can configure them that they have the same size?

Thank you

Make sure the following is set to "Yes":

Hi John,

I've already tried this option but when I set it on the 5d profile nothing happens. The result is looking the same as in my first screenshot. When I set it also on the 20d profile I see both profiles side by side but not overlaid.

The following is the closest you will be able to get to this, but there is an inherent problem in that you define the size of the profile based on the longest bar in the profile (the POC if you want to think of it that way). As such, when you define the 5 day to be 5% of the window width and the 20 day to be 5% of the window width, they will each place their longest bar to that 5% line, but this may not (and will most likely not be) the same bar in each profile. Therefore the profiles are going to have different lengths.

Here are the instructions:
- Set an initial width for each profile to whatever you want to use.
- Set the Input for "Allow Side by Side Profiles on Right Side" to "No" for both studies
- Set the Input for "Use Defined Width for Side by Side Profiles on Right" to "Yes" for both studies
- Set the Input for "Align to Far Right" to "Yes".

From here, adjust the width value that you are using for one of the profiles to get it to match up to the other profile as best you can.

Once a new maximum volume is reached in either study, you would have to adjust the profiles again.
