I am using version 2626. I've only found this issue for ZB futures contract. settings: Continuous Futures-Volume Based Rollover, Back adjusted. Default symbol settings for Price Display, Tick Size (1/32, 1/32). Problem: The exported values are wrong and are offset from actual value. ie. price 91 8/32, should be 91.25 but text file shows 91.24956. This also shows up on the chart when using the Chart Value/Crosshairs tool. If Chart Value/Crosshairs tool is showing 91 8/32, the drawn bar itself is just a touch below that value. The value does show correctly as 91 8/32 in the Tool Values Window. I've tried deleting and redownloading all the data files but no change. |

We cannot help with this. This simply relates to the precision of single precision floating point values.

I thought about that too so I checked ZN, TN (0.5/32 tick size) and ZF (0.25/32 tick size) and they are all completely accurate down to the last decimal place. I check UB, which is also 1/32 tick size and it is off a little bit as well just like ZB which is also 1/32 tick size. Why would 1/32 be off and not 0.5/32? 1/32 can be represented exactly in binary so shouldn't suffer from precision issues? |
