Hi Sierra, Which setting do I change when using the DVP to prevent the volume profile bars from stretching to the right when I zoom in? I have attached two pictures, one zoomed out - where i used DVP on previous time periods. But when I zoom in, the old DVP bars overlap and even combine onto my current chart - you can reference the dates to see which is zoomed out and zoomed in. Tried changing the settings, cant seem to figure out which one it is that will allow the DVP to remain in the same area it is where I drew it and not stretch over when I zoom into current price |

There are so many Drawn Profiles on the chart that it is hard to tell which one is actually extending out like it is. You need to duplicate the chart and then start removing the Drawn Volume Profiles in order to determine which one (or ones) are being drawn further forward like it appears. We tend to believe that what is occurring is that you have a Drawn Volume Profile somewhere in this that is actually being drawn correctly, but it appears to be a different one. If you can narrow down the particular profiles to the ones that are doing this, and they are drawing incorrectly, then we would need to get a Chartbook with that chart in it so we can take a look. Hey John, Have attached new pictures of a clean chart which should be easier to see. Just to clarify - I am using the DVP (Draw Volume Profile), tool and not adding a weekly/daily Volume By Price study. The 2 screenshots I attached previously in the first support ticket also included the fixed weekly Volume By Price, which does not move when i zoom in. Should be a setting issue I just can't figure out which one. When I drag the X axis horizontal chart to zoom in, the volume profiles extend onwards to the right to the latest zoomed in price action (and even merge as can be seen). I only want the DVP to remain at the start and end point where I actually drew it, not overlap onto the current price action I am looking at. Thanks |
