I have the latest version of SC. Setup : minute chart, TPO, Renko, I'm noticing mismatch pricing on my multiple charts. In other words, the market price isn't uniform on the various charts. T&S doesn't always flow smoothly. It seems to freeze and go. I've seen this characteristic on charts also. It seems to be worst after I do something on the chart, SC will freeze, and I have to do an end task on the program. I know this is an abrupt shut down, but I don't know of any other solutions. Some of these charts are running, a few special indictors and spreadsheets. Currently, I'm trading NQ. I also have 16gb of memory. I'm trying to give you as much helpful information as I can. Do you have any ideas, what is going on? |

The first thing to do is to go through the items at the following link and look for ways to improve your overall performance: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often If you have a situation where the system is truly locked and will not respond, then we would need to know what was occurring during that time. Were you doing something in particular? Are you using a certain kind of chart (such as a 1 tick chart)? Follow up, Thank you for providing a check list. These are things I've already done and checked. This has always been an issue with NQ since I've been trading it, and it seems to be NQ specific. I don't have these issues with ES. |

Make sure you are not using the Trade and Current Quote Symbol in Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol. Clear that symbol from all charts. Following up from your previous instructions. I checked my charts, and I'm not using that feature. I have in the past, but not currently. I've experienced the same performance with and without using this feature. I've never had any of these issues with ES. I'm in a room of hundreds of traders who trade NQ, and I've posted my issues. It seems, I'm the only one who is having an issue. So, the user specific. I've traded ES for years and haven't experienced these type of issues. Now, I understand ES has a thicker book, trade patterns might be slightly different. However, I should be experiencing a smooth flow in time and sales ( NQ I don't but I do in ES) I should see smooth price movement in the charts, neither the lag or stop and go. ES is perfect. I have a larger chart book in ES and run with any issues. I've limited my chart book for NQ 4 charts and there is still an issue. I've compared this issue with Think or Swim chart data and Rithmic platform. Again, Es is fine and NQ has the issue. I was on the current version, and went back to the previous version ( 2726) both an issue. |
