Toolbar button for selecting Saved DTS Configuration

I want to add a dropdown in my control bar to select from my saved DTS Config (List) options I have saved. (Saved DTS Configuration (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings)) I added the Control Bar Command "Data/Trade Services | Data/nTrdSrv" to my control bar, but clicking it opens a web browser and goes to a page on your website. Not sure of the intent of this button currently, but it looked like it would/could be the dropdown I was after. Did I overlook the config for this button somewhere other than the properties tab? Or is there another way to get a DTS config dropdown in the control bar? |

The "Data/Trade Services" item you selected is under the "Help" section, so it does exactly what you are seeing - it opens a browser to the "Supported Data and Trading Services" page on our website. There is no Control Bar option for selecting different Data/Trading Service Configurations. It would be really useful to have a Control Bar option for selecting different Data/Trading Service Configurations, in the form of a drop down.

Please do consider this use case. I would think I'm not the only customer who would benefit. I have a few personal accounts and some prop firm accounts. About eight to ten at any given time. They are traded serially, not concurrently. No trade copying of any kind. Maintaining 10 sierra chart installations is tedious. Ie. Program updates, trading presets, and the disk space used for historical data on each ticker. I have windows batch files to help with the updates and cleanup, but it's extra work. If the DTS drop-down that already exists in the configuration menu were exposed to the control bar, this can all be reduced to three actions: select the DTS config, disconnect service, connect service. or even a single action of selecting the dts config and having the option to auto disconnect/reconnect service. Please do consider this use case. |
