Hello I want to use a formula in the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" to place a text for long above/for short below the candle, but exactly 1 tick above or below. That doesn't work or I'm making a mistake. See "pic 1". Here a text should be 1 tick above the HIGH. I have set everything up like this but see where the text is, in the middle of the candle. Why? Then please see pic 2 and 3. Here the text should be 0 ticks below the LOW but it is 8 ticks away even though I have set "0" and "Low" (see "pic 3"). "pic 2" shows the low of the candle at 2266.2 and "pic 3" the middle of the text at 2265.4. Why? Somehow the texts are 8 ticks too low, so 8 ticks too low from the high and 8 ticks too low from the low. I don't understand this and need your help. |

You have the right idea, and from what you show the items should be drawing where you are expecting. What "Draw Style" are you using for the "Color Bar" subgraph to get the text? Draw Style = "Text"

The text you show in the most recent image looks correct. Are you still having a problem?

Strange, now the texts are above the high. BUT it is still not correct. pic 3: here it is set: Draw Style Ticks Offset = 1 But the text is exactly on the high and not 1 tick above it. I have switched on the crosshairs so that you can see the price on the right pic 4: Here I have set Tick Offset = 2, but it is only 1 tick above the high. The price on the right also shows it. What is the problem here? Here is the chart book for you to check. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-01-25 17:46:32

The images you provide look correct to us. Keep in mind the size of your scaling in relation to the location of the text. In addition, you show that you have the green "Long>" as 2 ticks offset and it is above the yello "Long>" as you would expect. When we do this with your chartbook, we also see the correct movement of the text. Attached are 3 images with offsets of 1 tick, 2 ticks, and 3 ticks. You will see the text moving up in each image. Make sure when you are looking at this that you widen your scale so you can better see the difference in a tick when making the changes. If it is moving as you want, then scale it to how you want to see it and then adjust to the actual amounts you want to move so you can see it as you want it. Keep in mind, at the Low, you would need to enter a negative value to move the text down (positive values move up, negative values move down).
