Just made 3 simple tpo charts. Monthly, Weekly, Daily charts. Nothing special about these TPOs.

There is cursor lag and makes the whole program laggy, effecting

Price axis interaction, main program menus, study menu and study selection, moving detached windows via title bar draging - The entire chartbook.

I tried this on two versions and both have the same issues 2695 and 2732

Is there a solution for this?

I thought there was a problem with how the CGI data feed - may not actually give tick by tick data and that is how everyone sets sierra data to.

I went to global settings - data/trade settings - and played around with intraday data storage time unit to second or minute intervals and had no luck.

These exact same diruptions with interacting and responsiveness of charts, is similar to the problem that heavy load sierra chartbook users were expierencing with the timer feature in the more recent updates.

I don't think you read my post, or sierra doesn't want to say that this isn't an issue ?

Please just open a single SPX_CGI on a default TPO and see what I mean.

I'm using a blank second install, no other chartbooks open. This is not a resource issue.

TPO on futures charts work just fine.

Refer to 30.23 here:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.23 - Chart Tick Size and Volume at Price Processing

You need to increase the Tick Size significantly.

yep, that's it. Thank you. I didn't think of that.

And come to think of it, that could be the solution for what I, and many other heavy chartbook users were expeirencing lag on the new timer versions.

I guess we don't naturally think of making adjustment to tick sizes with tpo charts because futures handles things so well without tick aggregation.

I think there is something in common for heavy users, we use TPO charts on equities data. And the multi time frame analysis of monthly, weekly, and daily tpo and volume profiles. For spy, qqq, and more and spx if subscribed to CGI.

Please keep this in mind if there is anyone reporting lag. Thank you.
