I am trying to load ES daily bars (9:30 - 16:00) from 1997-09 to present day. I have done this before and extracted the data. I am on a continuous contract - volume based rollover. Now when I am trying to load the chart I am only able to load up until 2010 and nothing before appears. I attempted changing the "Date range in file from" value but it gets overridden by Sierra when I save the settings. I attempted to switch to "Use number of days to load" with a value of "99999" and that did not help anything. I ensured my maximum intraday days non-tick to load is well above the threshold in global settings. None of these have worked. When I click delete and download data, it only displays contracts going back to 2010. I included a file with the chartbook. Please help me understand why the data is not loading for future reference as well, THANK YOU! Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-01-10 21:17:58

2010 is correct for how far our data goes back for the ES. Refer to the information at the following link: Sierra Chart Historical Data Service: What is Included This chart is setup as an "Intraday Chart Only". If you are wanting daily bars, then you should set it to be an "Historical Chart". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Chart Data Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Date Range and Limiting Method menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

On 1/3/25 I was able to extract data going back to 1997 from ES (I included an attachment of the file). Is the 2010 data limit a recent update/change? I have real time data w/ Denali Data Feed and CME with Market Depth service activated. This still only includes up to 2010? I setup the chart as "Intraday Only" because I was unable to change the start/end times for daily bars without changing the global settings. For future reference, is there anyway to keep the historical chart setting on and change the daily bar's start/end time without adjusting global settings? |

The data that went back to 1997 was most likely Daily Historical data and not intraday data. The intraday data has only ever gone back to what is stated on our Historical Data Service page. There is not a way to change Start/End times for Daily Historical data. That data comes from the exchange and is just the "Open/High/Low/Close/Volume" for each day. The definition of that day is done by the exchange themselves. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
