Horizontal Line at Time, Not Accurate Using Range Numbers Bars

Using a 1 min, 5 min or similar candlestick chart, my Horiz. Line at Time Study works perfectly. However when using a 20tick range Numbers Bars Chart the line won't plot at the same price as my candlestick charts. I have the following settings: Input Data: Open Start Time: 8:00:00 I've also tried: Input Data: Last Start Time: 7:59:59 In either case the candlestick Horiz Line and the Numbers Bars Horizontal line are off, sometimes by a big margin. I realize that a range bar could span the 8:00 time but still, there is a specific price the market trades at an exact time. Is there an additional setting I could try? |

In addition, I've also played around with the "Use Allowed Range for Match in Minutes" as well as the "Allowed Range for Match in Minutes". I've tried Yes, No, 1 min, 20 min, 60 min and nothing is allowing the Horiz. Line on the Numbers Range bars to match the horiz. line on the regular minute candlesticks.

You are not understanding how the "Horizontal Line at Time" study works. It does not find the specific time for a trade that is done at that time. It uses the bar that encompasses that time and then uses the "Input Data" Input and uses that value from that bar. So yes, it will be different for a time based chart and a Range chart. It can also be different between time based charts if the times do not align. This is how most of Sierra Chart is setup. So it is necessary to understand this. To get the horizontal line at a specific time, you would need to have a time based chart set such that the opening of a bar is at the time you want. Then set the Horizontal Line at Time to use the Open of that bar. You would then use the "Study/Price Overlay" to overlay that horizontal line to a Range Bar chart.
