Is it possible to prevent any orders from being placed/filled by symbol? I use a DOM of ES but trade the MES contracts, could you help me find the settings to reject any orders for ES in the case I accidently click on the DOM I do not want to open a position or working order. I have already tried "edit trade account" and "symbol/product limits" on ES but I do not think it is saved properly because when I open that window back up to check it does not show 0 quantity for positions/orders. I attached three screenshots... I make the changes, select update which says successful, when I press commit you can see in screenshot two it says "operation not allowed"... in the third screenshot is when I reopen the window to see if my changes are saved. Thank you for your time, if you could help me with this I would really appreciate it! |

Contact your broker and ask them to restrict your account to MES. Depending on your broker many of the settings will be read only and you won’t be allowed to change them on n your end.

Yes you need to contact your broker to do this. You cannot do it from your side.
