Hi

How do you duplicate a chart that has a spreadsheet for trading attached ?

What do you do with the spreadsheet in the duplicate ? Just rename it or what ?

thanks

The same spreadsheet is used. The chart data is outputted to the Sheet# that corresponds to the chart number. The Formula Source Sheet Number input remains the same.

If you are using the duplicated chart and duplicated spreadsheet in the same chartbook, you don't need to rename it. It will add a new Sheet# corresponding to the duplicated chart#, and the Formula Source Sheet Number will be the same as the original spreadsheet. If you don't want to use the original sheet's formulas in the duplicated sheet, you need to change the Formula Source Sheet Number to match the new Sheet#.

If you duplicate the chart/spreadsheet to another chartbook, you'll want to rename the spreadsheet file if you are going to have both chartbooks open concurrently. If the destination chartbook already has a chart# that is the same as the source chart#, you also might need to edit the Formula Source Sheet Number.
