I have run out of space to where every time I need to use Sierra charts I have to delete more of my personal files. I have 500gb of storage but I can't really use my computer for anything other than Sierra charts. Is there a way to better manage space? I keep going through and deleting 7gbs at a time of my personal games and data to make space for Sierra charts. I figured the delete all data and download would create more space, but it instead usually takes up another six or seven gbs after it's finished downloading. How do I clear a bunch of unneeded Sierra charge data? Thank u

1. In Sierra Chart, reduce the number of days loaded on your charts to what you really need. If you need historical data, use Historical charts, not Intraday. 2. Exit Sierra Chart and Delete all SCID files in the \Data folder. 3. Run Disk Cleanup. Click Clean System Folder. Check all the boxes and click OK. 4. Restart Sierra Chart and only the SCID files you need will be downloaded when you open the chartbooks. 5. Long term: get a bigger drive. |
