I have attached orders saved in a config which has 2 targets, target 1 qty 2, and target 2 qty 1. If I enter a position (qty 3) and get filled on the first target(position now 1), then I hit flatten, my selected config then switches target 1 qty 1 and target 2 qty 2. Any way to prevent this? I'd much prefer my selected configuration to remain in place. I have seen that if I change qty in the window it does the same thing, but all I am doing in this case is flatten, I have not changed the qty myself. Thanks |

In general, if you change the quantity, you can not be guaranteed that the relative amounts will be distributed to the Targets/Stops as you want. It is best to select a Trade Configuration in order to ensure that the total quantity is set how you want along with the relative distribution to the Targets/Stops. Refer to the following: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Using and Changing Between Different Trade Window and Attached Orders Configurations Selecting "Flatten" should not change the quantity or cause the distribution of the quantity in the Targets/Stops to change, but we wonder if the quantity was changed at some point before the flatten was selected. I have not changed the quantity, all I did was select the trade configuration, place a trade, filled on first target, press flatten, and subsequently the quantities change. I have had this occur numerous times. Today I isolated it to find out what was going on. I can reproduce it without fail in sim as well.

Please get us the Configuration file as well as a step-by-step of how you are reproducing this in simulation mode. Refer to the following for how to attach a file: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Ok, I attached the file. As for reproducing in sim, I just selected the config, placed a market order in NQ and waited until the first target was filled. Then press flatten. I would restart the process if the stop gets hit before the first target. |

We are not able to reproduce this. Every time we run this, the quantities for the targets stay the same after we Flatten the position. Which is exactly what we expect to see happen. The only thing we can tell you at this point is to make sure you reselect the configuration prior to entering a new position, in order to ensure that the quantities are set the way you want them.
