Between 5900x and 5700X3D (maybe 5800X3d), does anyone know which is best for Sierra Chart? Currently running two separate instances, many chartbooks, indicators, and alerts. I followed optimisation support pages, and my 3600X sings along just fine; SC is very smooth and happy indeed. Boost 4.4Ghz and Base 3.8Ghz I want to add more charts and studies, maybe a third instance, and at the same time, make one last CPU upgrade to my AM4 platform. Does the X3d cache benefit Sierra in any way? Or perhaps negatively, with lower clock speeds under all core load. Puget tested 5800X vs 5800X3d and found 3d cache version worse for a lot of content creation tasks: https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/amd-ryzen-5800x3d-vs-5800x-for-content-creation-2331/?srsltid=AfmBOoq9YwUotX7VfN9zj-0XFeZv28C1Ehhz9nY2sFKNHvIVQ6xX1x0D 5900X is 12 core 24thread 105w TDP Boost 4.8Ghz Base 3.7Ghz L3 Cache 64mb (but I think shared between two halves) 5700X3d 8 core, 16thread 105TDP Boost 4.1CHz Base 3 Ghz L3 3d-V cache - 96MB (32MB 2D cache plus 64MB 3D V-Cache) |
