How can I get the ask - bid volume at the highest volume price in a bar? So if the price 10 had the highest volume in a candle, then how can I see the ask - bid volume at the price of 10 as a study or text display without having to use numbers bars. So, I would like to be able to see this on a chart that does not have the zoomed in numbers bar showing.

You can do this by doing the following: - Add the "Volume Point of Control for Bars" study to the chart. You can hide this study if you want. - Add the "Spreadsheet Formula" study to the chart. - Enter the following formula for the Spreadsheet Study Formula: =AVAP(ID1.SG1, 0) - BVAP(ID1.SG1, 0) Where AVAP is the function to get the Ask Volume at Price, BVAP is the function to get the Bid Volume at Price, ID1 is the ID of the Volume Point of Control for Bars study, SG1 is the first (and only) subgraph of the Volume Point of Control For Bars study. What you do next depends on how you want to view the information. You can set the Spreadsheet Formula subgraph to have a Draw Style of "Value on High" or "Value on Low", or you can use the "Study Subgraph Above/Below Bar as Text", or if you just one the most current bar's information, then you can use the "Text Display For Study". Refer to the following: Volume Point of Control for Bars Spreadsheet Formula Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Special Functions For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
